Bone forest sprouts from where the user is, and then continues to spread out towards the target and every other direction. If Sakura punches the ground as the bones approach, the bones that are coming for her get obliterated, thus she is safe and Kimimaro dies to the next attack. Just in case anyone is going to claim that she won't be able to punch them since they would magically sprout under her.
