Despite not initially having much control over this ability, Karin seems capable of manipulating the size of her chains to fit the situation.

lol You took that from Narutopedia I believe, which is full of filler feats, for exmple Karin never used her chains on Suigetsu...

And for the record, Karin's chains cannot be compared with Kushina's at all:

When Spiral Zetsu attacked Karin, there is just one stake (Spiral Zetsu's wooden wand) stabbing her in her stomach, the stake didn't even get her back yet and the chains were already breaking. You can see this right here:

Her jutsu faded away when the branches went all through her body, piercing her from her stomach to her back:

Kushina, on the other hand, was exhausted because of the Bijuu extraction Tobi performed on her, and was running out of chakra, but this didn't stopped her from paralyzing the Kyuubi in seconds:

On top of that, when she was stabbed by the Kyuubi claw, the jutsu didn't disappear:

Before the summary, I would like to point out that that Version of the Shinju Senju was not on pair with the one that the first Hokage was able to pull out:

This is Spiral Zetsu version:

And this is the one Hashirama Senju was able to make, the one that matched the Kyuubi:

So let's analyse both situations:


Karin:
  • Status: In Perfetc Condition
  • Fighting a Huge monster that cannot be compared with the Kyuubi in power or dimensions, and only broke some of it's hands and arms.
  • Her Jutsu breaks when she gets any type of physical damage
  • Her jutsu fades away when the wounds are too severe

Kushina:
  • Status: She had had the Kyuubi extracted from her like two chapters ago, and her chakra was running out.
  • She wrapped and paralyzed the Kyuubi in seconds.
  • Her jutsu didn't even twinkle due to her pain. She had severe wounds, she was having her chakra drained, and was in the edge of life and death because of her Bijuu extraction, but non of this stopped her technique.
So if this feats look alike to you, i think we are done here.

You just basically proved nothing to me in those spoilers lol.... And i wasnt even using her little moment in that filler as backup proof(i knew that was a filler by the way),so thats irrelevent.

@ Bold:i dont think thats her chains breaking. That aura you see around them is just the enhanced chakra from the chains.

Even if they do disappear from CES,Karin would survive and heal bite herself and continue fighting.

I also want to point out something else: Karin had just given Tsunade more than half of her Chakra reserves to restore her Yin seal,then she fought the spiral dude,heal bit and didn't even look exhausted. Overall her full intent was just to get to Sasuke as fast as possible.

Now in a normal fight,Karin will be forced to face Sakura in a more focused manner.
Heres my scenario:
Sakura rushes at Karin with CES but Karin uses the chains to impale and immobilize her, and just ties her to those chains. Karin takes a kunai and slits Sakuras throat. THere is noway for her to break those chains once she gets caught in them.

Still nothing has changed. Still Mid difficulty,there is noway for Sakura to escape or break the chains ;)

I proved nothing you say? You are using stuff from filler to determine the chakra chains properties, I have never read anywhere on the manga that they were able to nullify chakra on the target, the reference Narutopedia provides for that feat is Episode 408 from the Anime, which is from filler, that was time she used them on Suigetsu.
So no, Chakra Chains cannot nullify chakra, at least not canonically.

So if you knew that, just like you say you did, you should have known that too :rolleyes:

I also proved Karin would never handle a Bijuu with her technique, as some people assume she can.
She could barely destroy some of the hands of a fodder Wooden Statue, her chains are no way near Kushina's, so her technique is not wrapping a Bijuu...

Also, It's pretty fair to say that she is not able to redirect her attack efficiently. She struck the statue once, and was unable to launch another attack or defend herself from Spiral Zetsu, let alone evade his attack.

Sakura doesn't need to attack or break the chains, actually the chains is all she needs to defeat her.
She can pull her ass with one arm as she way back in the Sasori fight, and she didn't have Byakugou then.

Besides, the chains can be broken, in the case of Karin, they break after the is injured.
But it can also be broken by a physical attack:

One of Kushina's chains was broken during the attack of the Kyuubi, it was broken with one of his nails/claws.
And I know the Kyuubi sh*ts on Sakura in every way, but at war arc I think It's fair to say that the offensive-destruction power of one of Kyuubi's nails is quite inferior than what Sakura can do with her whole fist:

Besides, by feats Sakura speed is significantly greater than Karin's:

  • Blitzing The Fourth Kazekage's Puppet:

  • Almost evading Sasori's poisoned chain, causing her a minor wound that she never healed and kept fighting.

  • Avoiding the attacks of Sasori's puppets (she was not being controlled by Chiyo):

  • Protecting Chiyo from Sasori, even though she was pretty far from them:

She is not a speedster, I know, she is not known for her speed feats, but her speed is way more than enough to blitz Karin.
Besides, I do recognize that she could destroy some of the Budda's hands, well done, but can she catch or attack smaller and faster targets?
