I don't think it'll be stated...

If he doesn't get with Sakura, the girl he's claimed to be in love with, then I don't think he would suddenly have feelings for Hinata, the girl he refferred to as a "freak" for her introduction.

I just don't want it happening immediatly, sure Hinata has loved him all this time, but if he were to suddenly love her due to Sakura's final statement of not loving him like so in return, then Hinata would seem kinda like a rebound girl.....
