One of the most controversial issues regarding the Akatsuki is without a doubt the result of sakura vs. hidan. According to many threads, people are debating that sakura has the potential to defeat hidan. However, although i acknowledge that sakura could stank a chance against hidan, i believe that she is being overestimated and is not capable of defeating hidan yet. Before you develop and opinion, please consider the following points I will state.
1) Lack of Experience and Close Combat
Firstly, I am making a prediction assuming that sakura has no intel on hidan about his skills or abilities. As we all know, close combat is dangerous when fighting hidan because of his powers, and unfortunately close combat is sakura's skill. Sakura also has the same jutsus and power as Tsunade, however the reason she is beneath her is the lack of fighting experience. Sakura herself admitting she does not have a keen sense of combat, perceptual skills, or even intellectual ability.
The moment she lounges at hidan, he wounds her and it is over.
2) Immortality
Assuming that she does land a blow, hidan can easily recover from it as he is immortal. In a way, we could state that Sakura is immortal, due to her recovery power. Hidan is a full fledged shinobi (after all he part of the akatsuki), he will discover this and will aim repetitively at the heart, the artery at the neck or his throat.
3) Hidan's abilities
From hidan's previously fight, we only observe that he takes his opponents blood and tortures them. Perhaps he has further jutsus and abilities/.
4) His faith
If all fails and Sakura is surprisingly winning, he will pray and his god will save him!
In conclusion, if Sakura battles Hidan, the result will be this:
