Either one can take this depending on distance ( I.E sakura summoning katsuyu before ranged scythe)

Actually, its one few battles where Hidan would actually die, as Katsuyus acid is able to dissolve his every living cell. He would simply cease to exist.

Are you serious? Katsuyu us huge, her acid covers a big area. Besides, she can and split attack him from many angles at the same time.

It doesnt really cover a big area its pretty easy to dodge that for Hidan, he has one of the best Evasion skills in the manga he got never hit by anything besides Shikamaru shadows and they are fast and creeping on the ground and Hidan still managed to dodge them so the Acid is no Problem. If Katsuyu splits up, the acid would become even easier to dodge and Sakura cant hide on her, Sakura is still the main enemy here and she will get killed fast.

Shikamarus shadows have greatly improved, he can control them much better and can attack with them from different angles also, against Temari his shadows were much weaker.

Why not? Sakura has info on Hidans abilities, so she would use Katsuyu as a form of protection. Besides, I have never seen Hidan hiding underground.

Hidan could just slice right through this, Sakura definetely wont hide the whole fight inside Katsuyu. (I doubt she would even summon it). Sakura keeps yelling that she wants to catch up to Sasuke and Naruto and she thinks she is strong and now hiding inside a slug and do nothing would not fit her personality. Yes Hidan can evade that all day Long pretty easy and he wont exhaust also, so i dont see a Problem there.

He would slice through several meters of Katsuyus body and get to Sakura. Right. Seriously, he wont even get close to Katsuyu thanks to the acid.

(I doubt she would even summon it).

Sakura is smart and good in analyzing. If she thought it is necessary to summon Katsuyu in order to win a fight she would obvioulsy do that.

And why not? We have seen several examples where the summoner hides in his summon ( Jiraiya, Pain, Sasuke )
