Naruto was an orphan looking after himself since childhood and from there on he worked hard to the position of Hokage. In Sakura's case its different, she had parents but I guess they disowned her and from there on she couldn't make enough to buy a house on her own.
As for her mental condition, then normal people do not destroy their house and behave extremely violently just cuz they got mad at their kid lol.
