Did anyone notice that Sakura was really offended when he was saying that parenthood is all about passing on genes.
This is why I think that Sakura isn't really the mother, she knows deep inside that Sarada and her dont share the same genes, so when he is saying that parenthood is all about passing on genes, she deeply disagrees with that because she does not share genes with Sarada, but still considers herself as her mother because of the bond and feelings they share.​

That was the foreshadowing. She also said that a parent and child are connected by something note than genes which clearly indicates that she may not be the mother.

Hate her or not, she does have a valid point though; being a parent does not stop at the biological level. If anything, the whole convo was just foreshadowing that Sakura ain't the biological mother.

Yeah, Sakura isn't the biological mother of Sarada. The DNA test showed that, and her argument against the notion that a child and mother are only linked by their genes also conveys the same.
