Naruto and Sakura's relationship is more than a friendship, Sakura was the only person in Naruto's life who reprimanded him, Sakura hitting Naruto was her way of showing she cared.

@Endless - Tough love. Sakura hitting Naruto to me almost paralleled the way a girl would playfully tease a guy she liked. Of course there was never any romantic feelings between them, as I saw a brother-sister dynamic at best. She was better with him, always, and it was truly Sasuke and her confessions/thoughts/etc,. about him that ruined her character and took her steps back. Scenes like where he returns and she hugs him, to me was great, because it showed how far Sakura came as a character from hating Naruto, to actually realizing his dream and wanting to protect him. But hey, let's retcon love for the last arc.

Parallels what a parent would actually do when her son or in this case "friend" acted like that. Remember when Sakura hit him when he was going to unleash a super sexy new jutsu XD (early part 2) I always loved Naruto's face when he sees Sakura's growth for the first time and he smiles and says "I can't mess around with Sakura anymore...She'll kill me."

As for her thoughts for Sasuke, it would have been admirable from her to keep loving him through his bad times and wanting to save him, that's what Kishi was going for, but he went too far though and it did indeed become cringe-worthy at times. Kishi is horrible at romance.

No, it solidifies Tsunade above Sakura. You kept showing the results Sakura made through her actions. Well, all of Sakura's abilities are copies of Tsunade's. Tsunade paved the way for each moment for Sakura's accomplishments, which in turn means that everything significant Sakura ever did can be credited to Tsunade. Even more, Tsunade founded medical ninjas. Without her, even the category for Sakura's arsenal would not exist. Every person Sakura healed, every super punch she made, would not exist. Tsunade is more influential on the world by far.

Dude I really hope Naruto/Sakura still have that strong bond even after he becomes Hokage/Father and she becomes a Mother. Imagine her storming through the Hokage office, busting through the doors, and screaming at him. Like he would be this awesome, cool Hokage one second, and then Sakura strips it off him a second later XD

I hope he also develops Naruto/Sasuke too. Because honestly they are about as close to the Earth and Venus. Nothing about their "my closest friend" BS they were sprouting made sense to me EVER. I cannot imagine them sitting down and talking together, that is the problem.
