Lee is fast and strong and that's about all he needs. His speed can dodge anything in Sasori's arsenal, he could react and intercept Madara's omnyodon, which are admittedly faster than Gaara's attacks which could intercept the likes of A. Not even getting into kamui comparasion.

Scenario 1: Team 1 definetly wins, in a re-match Sakura alone could push him to mid-diff. With some a guy who has a strong defence and another who has top notch speed, they surely pull it off.
I doubt Shino would be a factor though, he would fall for the first barrage of needles unless Lee and Neji help him but after that he wouldn't be able to keep up.
Scenario 2: W/o intel only Lee and Neji make it past Hiruko (assuming Lee has Asakujaku), but i don't think they win.
Lee can't hurt Sasori and Neji would be overwhelmed by the 100 puppets.
