Okay if you are familiar with the cartoon Teen Titans then you know who the character Raven. After watching an old episode I realized that Raven has the buddha mark (similar to Sakura's new one and Tsunade's)

I believe the episode with Blackfire reveals its name. But basically it is a symbol made to focus one's chakra (literally Narutoverse....mental focus Teen Titansverse)

Basically it allows Raven to focus her thoughts and channel her emotions at a single point, and thus making things operate more smoothly.

At least that's what I csn recall/summarize offhand.


But yeah, Sakura and Raven aren't really anything alike.


EDIT: Just went to it....Blackfire mentions Asura Chakra (says it wrong), but basically she indicates the center of the forhead where the gem stone is placed. So yeah. That's the name, but I've already explained.

Lol well it basically plays into Buddhism/Hinduism. It's supposed to help the concentration.

Because where Raven uses it as meditation for emotions. Tsunade and Sakura use it for chakra.....I'd say the shape is simply just customary or a teaditional shaped gem stone which goes above the head area denoted as the Asura Chakra (check my origional post for the edit).
