The Boruto movie Novel stated that if something where to happen to Naruto, Sakura would be the next potential candidate.
But something isn't adding up, If something Happened to Naruto, Sakura is also one of the Godly Sanin. And if Something where to happen to Naruto, Sakura wouldn't risk the same thing happening to Sasuke, and she probably would urged Naruto to let her come with him, as a medic will be needed. I doubt they are dead though, I have a theory that Sasuke is in a Nagato like machine and Naruto is in a cage being used as a chakra battery. Sakura is probably on her way to find Hubby kun and her dear friend. But the village was destroyed so she probably use Katsuyu to save everyone. Unless it was Sarada, she is about that age)
So Sakura will leave the village, step down as hokage, Sarada will be Hokage.
And we have Boruto vs The guy.

Ah, but did Sakura summon Katsuyu? From the little Kawaki action we've seen, she hasn't. Without Katsuyu, the majority of the villagers are probably dead allready.

1. Naruto isnt one of the Godly Sannin. Naruto and Sasuke are Gods. Sakura is a sannin
2. Why would Naruto need Sakura to heal anything when he can do it himself? Much quicker and much better?
3. Uchiha will never be a Hokage. After Naruto steps down, Konohamaru will take the place.
4. Sakura really cant be a Hokage as her leadership skill are non existent.

Sakura could've been hokage since part 1 because she always had the mind of one, the only thing Sakura might be biased on is matters concerning sasuke, which is the same for Naruto
