Hinata? She isn't that well written either. people put more blame on sakura simply because she's a main character that some people wanted her to do her role as a main. The blame should be on the creator and not the character.

The character is the author's product. When people blame the character, they are blaming the author by default.

Also, it's more sensible to point out a character that one does not like, then to blame the author for his writing entirely.

As a mangaka, Kishimoto did have some decently written characters. There were few, but still they were there. He needs credit for that. Thus, people are more apt to just point out a flawed character than say "His writing sucks". Because the flawed character that he has trouble writing is what brings his writing down overall.

A character is what they are only from the manga at the end of the day. Not what "could have been" or "should have been". Sakura had good moments just as she had bad ones. It's up to one's own interpretation as to which moments outweighed what.

Plus, Sakura's not real. She's simply a drawing and cannot be affected by any criticism, nor praise, anyone in the fandom says that pertains to her. People should just say what they want. They've been doing so since 1999. It won't change in 2014, especially when the manga is over.

Her major issue was that she was too interchangeable. If you switched her out for Tsunade, you'd arguably get the same story, except with a more likable character.

I personally liked Tsunade a lot more than her.

Shikamaru was dying due to his chakra being sucked out. Replenishing his chakra with another would have down the trick.

Yes but the thing is as a female character shes got the most screen time to show what shes got. Yet people can name many number of female characters that they think are better than her. The reasons you stated are the clear reasons why people dislike her. So its natural to not like her character. It depends on your taste of characters. i like konnan best because her past story was good and she had a good mindset going.

I know that. She had potential when part 2 began. She could have been given earth style, that ax she's always depicted with, or Slug Sage mode, though that never became a thing. She should have gotten her own arc, though what that arc would have focues on, I don't know.

And considering that Kishi decided to focus Naruto's story line on the lineage of the Rikudo brothers,, it would have been more fitting to have Sakura be a Senju, especially with her connection to Taunade. It also would have made her love story with Sasuke more interesting.

Pretty much true but oh well, you can't erase the past and her flaws will always be there.

I am pretty damn sure you don't need to read the manga well enough to know that she never created her own techniques, but was a copy and paste of Tsunade. I think her hate also comes from this. Looks wise she was copied off of Kushina.

The main problem with Sakura's character is that she has little to no connections to any of the main villains-with the exception of Sasuke. The greater the connections you have with villains, the more chance you have of having a role in their defeats. And let's face it, a lot of character development in the is manga occurs through fights. Most of her good feats happen on the sidelines(healing) which is great, but for one of the main characters, her development is lacking. That, and her somewhat unhealthy obsession with Sasuke are the main problems with her. I will give her credit though-for someone not from the Sages bloodline/any clan she's incredibly strong and useful.
