...Right? I mean, she was already a Jounin level Medical Ninja at the begining of Shippuden. She easily extracted Sasori's poison, and even made an antidote to it. Sasori was known world wide for his poison making skills. He was supposedly the only one in the world that could cure it.

Strength wise, she was Jounin level as well. She had had great chakra control at an early age (12/13). She easily punched blocks of Iron Sand that could open wide holes in the underground cavern.

She also easily opened the Earth with a punch while holding back against Kakashi.

Like her Sensei, she is a natural when it comes to leading a Medical Unit. During the Pain Arc, she took control of the hastily made Hospital. Taking complete control of the situation with ease.

She easily had better chakra control than Sasuke and Naruto on part 1. Being able to use her chakra to climb trees, walk on water, and disspell genjutsu (Kakashi only taught her this because he thought Naruto/Sasuke wouldn't be able to master it at her level) before the both of them. Is it safe to say her chakra control is on Kage level?

At the time of her fighting Sasori, it's indirectly said that she was holding back to preserve chakra. I say this due to the fact that Shizune mentions that she had been saving up her chakra for 3 years:

Hyakugou Seal is now in her grasp. With this, she is easily Sannin no?

To clear it all up:

There are other Sannin in the world. Jaraiya, Orochimaru and Tsunade were all just in their own class. Hence the title "Legendary Sannin".

Sakura was about mid chunin level in the beginning of Shippuden, Naruto was high chunin and Sasuke was jounin (Tsunade and Sakura believe Oro used forbidden jutsus or drugs to speed his growth). Sakura moved the Iron, not smashed it, SM Naruto caught a Rhino ruching at him and threw it into the air. You didn't show where she said she was holding back. Sakura is about mid jounin now and I say this because all she has from the Yin seal is strength but that means nothing if you can't hit your target. She would lose to Shikamaru, a chunin that beat a kage level ninja by himself. Sakura had Chiyo controlling her movements to allow her to move faster.

Kishi should have developed Sakura more so we could actually view her as a main character. Give her some genjutsus (being said to be a genjutsu type), a nature transformation, better feats and more screen time in action and not 2 hits and I'm done.

So...a mid chunin Kinoichi level can make antidotes to one of the most incureable poisons in the NV, has the battle experience to fight a jounin level ninja, see through Kakashi's tricks, and has the endurance to push a katana soaked in poison into her just to land a finishing blow? You have very big doubts for her u_u

She looked at all sides to deduce that it only left below the ground, this shows her smarts but it doesn't mean she was Jounin level, it was Naruto's plan that ultimately won them the bells. They both display their own smarts is all, it's not like she constantly came up with plans, it was Kakashi or Yamato who took charge in that department.

No. As for holding back, she focus her chakra to a single point and release it, do you think she will use all her chakra in 1 hit? No, so she was holding back in that sense. She doesn't have a large chakra reserve so it's not like she can use the same amount of chakra per hit, it would get less the more she fights unless she uses the Yin seal for more chakra.

As for Shikamaru, the only ones said to be jounins were Neji, Temari and Kankuro while Gaara was Kazekage

. I'll put him at high Chunin though. If she was Jounin level then she wouldn't need Chiyo to control her for better speed and mobility. Look at Neji, Gai, Kakashi, Temari, Kurenai, Asuma. Also When Bee's friends went to Konoha after the Pain fight Sakura was the only one to get pushed back while base Naruto was handling the just fine. Base Naruto was high Jounin at that point (Kakashi said Naruto was equal or even surpassing him back when Naruto beat Kakuza).

Sakura's over all power wasn't said to be Jounin, her skills with medical jutsus and chakra control have been praised and she'll surpass Tsunade in those one day but not as close as she should be. Sakura hasn't hinted at training thru out Shippuden while Naruto has, Kakashi hasn't but we seen improvements. Kishi sucks at female character development. I saw a reviewer even talk about how Kishi said he forgot about Sakura in a questioning.

You actually proved my point, you said of course Tsunade healed better because she's Sakura's teacher, to be a Sannin she has to surpass her teacher which she didn't even do. We get Naruto surpassing Jiraiya by Pa toad when Naruto mastered SM. Sasuke signifying surpassing Orochimaru by beating him (yes her was sick), getting his MS and then his EMS. They surpassed their mentors in some shape or form while Sakura has not. Theirs no Sannin and legendary Sannins, they're the same thing, Orochimaru, Jiraiya and Tsunade were referred to Sannins instead of legendary Sannin in the manga.

I know Sakura improved since part 1, I'm saying what shows her improvement thru Shippuden? Only summoning and the Yin seal, nothing else, you can include her sleep bomb and poison kunai but when you compare that to the Sannins or Sasuke and Naruto, it's not that much. Shikamaru (Hidan), Choji (pain,Kakuza/Hidan, Asuma) Kakashi show improvement in Shippuden. Sakura didn't get screen time that showed improvement like that.

The only improvement sakura showed was against the juubi clones...and that power up was, alone, enough to put her past her peers. She's easily stronger than tsunade when she was declared sannin. She's also had behind the scenes improvement. The seal, the summoning, and the training from tsunade. The summoning alone makes her sannin level. Her summoning > kakashi's > Naruto's (logically) > 3rd hokage's. Keeping an entire army in good shape BEFORE tsunade arrived. Now the only thing she needs is to be able to maybe release another seal and summon 100% katsyuu to show just how much chakra and chakra control she has. The haters would rage then.

On another note, I, for one, actually like sakura's behind the scenes development. I would love to see her get another power up and fight alongside sasuke and naruto against Madara. And maybe Madara will grace them with a name like the sannin as he is defeated.
