Maybe it's just my opinion, but I've always thought of Sakura as the main female role of this series. I dunno about the others though. Before I've hated Sakura for being such a weakling. But everything changed when Naruto came back to the village and Kakashi tested both of their strengths after 2 and a half years of training with their respective masters. And even then, Kakashi thought that she'd be a really great ninja even possibly better than her master when her time comes. And that is now.
