This is not a hate thread but a logical thread based on Sakura's actions throughout the manga and why she is not fit for the main character role as a whole. And please do not turn the thread into a Hinata/Sakura thingie. With that in mind, let us start.
Sakura's personality has always been shallow from the very start of the manga. Even her first appearance was somewhat annoying
Then we see the ever obsessed Sakura
I could list a few other bad points but we all know how obsessed she is and that she always hits poor Naruto.
But the real reason she isn't fit to be a main character and Naruto's companion is her unsupportive attitude toward him.
We can all understand she loves Sasuke but is that a reason to diss Naruto ? To the point even Sasuke gave her the cold shoulder ? She is so dense it ain't funny
She doesn't understand him at all. She makes the most obtuse comments. She kinda (lightly) redeemed herself with her stand in the Forest of Death but she quickly returned to her violent, useless self.
She couldn't even believed Naruto was the one that saved her from Gaara, even when Sasuke told her.
For all of Part 1 all she had in mind was her beloved Sasuke who didn't give a rat's ass about her. Her lines mainly consisted in " Sasuke*Sasuke*Naruto is dumb*Sasuke*Sasuke...
Anyway, there is no points in stating all her faults during Part 1, they are legion.
Part 2 Sakura started off better. She had improved as a kunoichi and even on a human level. Or so it appeared. What does she do when she sees Naruto ? PUNCH him. That was getting old and annoying as ****.
When Naruto faced Orochimaru, she gets knocked out (she was merely careless there) but later, she just ignored Yamato's order not to get close to Naruto and she gets hurt like a kid!
But to me the most disgusting and lowest move she could ever pull was what she did to Naruto at the Kage summit. Sure before, she was violent but never before had she used Naruto's feelings for her like that. You might argue that she was doing it for the right reasons. I call BULLPOOPIES. There is never a right reason to play with someone's feelings and even more so when that person is supposed to be your teammate, your friend. How could she even devise that plan and even worse put in in motion ?
She tried to make a fool out of him, and all his comrades were there.
Witnessing that! Is that what a so-called friend would put you through ? Naruto reacted with prestige I might say.
If he had slapped the sens out of her, it would have been better though.
So tell me, how is character with that many flaws is fit to be the main character ? I don't blame the people who dislike her (I'm part of that group, no shit Sherlock)
She is :
shallow
violent
unsupportive
useless as a ninja for most of the show
hardly relevant to the plot
obsessed over a boy or rather the idea of boy because she doesn't even understand Sasuke and yet she pretends to love him ?
much of a burden, always relying on others to do the job when she fails
I just wanted to say a few things about why I don't think she is main character-ish.
