What was the seal supposed to do for Naruto? She was feeding Obito chakra not keeping his heart pumping. Her medical ninjutsu wasn't enough to stop the inevitable effects of a bijuu extraction.

She didn't need to use the seal in Naruto's case, medical ninjutsu didn't do sh*t there, while in Sasuke's case, she used the seal to transfer it's chakra to Obito... simple as that. ​
