Had a bit of a friendly argument with a friend concerning the female characters of the series, with herself being adamant on claiming that "Sakura Haruno is definitely a good character, she had plenty of background!" in which I immediately silenced her by asking the following questions.
"If that is true, can you please then mention any legitimate emotional struggle she came across aside from wanting Sasuke's attention, also for that matter can you mention the background and appearances of her parents or clan(if she has any) in any of the manga chapters?"
She immediately changed the topic afterwards to filler episodes, and it went on as so. To be honest I have never throughout my entire reading of the manga taken Sakura seriously as a character in terms of her never having any legitimately struggle as compared to Sasuke(the truth of the clan massacre, orphaned) and Naruto(orphaned and his determination to become Hokage).
