Sakura / Hinata fans and haters.

I don't really care for Hinata. I never really had. But around the time shippuden came, I've been taking a liking to Sakura. I have no reason to dislike Hinata because of Sakura, I just dislike most of her fans. I prefer NaruSaku tho, but don't mind NaruHina. I prefer NaruSaku because I feel it would be best for Naruto and Sakuras characters. Sakura is a better heroine because well, she's the main heroine. She's accomplished more and has added more to the plot. If roles were switched (Hinata being on team 7), then I don't think Hinata would be any better at this point due to what we already know: Kishi being bad with females.

Most people try to compare Hinata and Sakura because as you know, half (or maybe a little over) of the fanbase hates Sakura and likes Hinata. Most of their reasons are pretty double standardish. And before anyone says anything, remember, I said MOST. Not all.

I like both,but certain elements of the fanbases have me switching back and forth between Hinata and Sakura when it comes to keeping their abilities strictly tied to the manga and not fanfic.

I use to hate Sakura in part 1. Part 2 she got better in the Sasori fight but she hasn't really given me a reason to like her again. As for Hinata she has relatively low panel tme so she doesn't bother me.

I feel about Hinata the same way I feel about Naruto, I respect their role in the story, they have their moments, they both hold some importance (Naruto of course being the MC), but I am more or less apathetic about them as a character. I only value them for what they do with the story.

As for Sakura......I don't usually try and gauge how I feel about her character, but I have been looking into her character and I guess I am a little more fond of her at this point.

I take it as he hates the fact that they're always like "Naruto-kun", and Sasuke-kun".

But, meh, I do like Hinata over Sakura. They each have their ups and downs, but I don't really hate either.

As I once said, I want to like Sakura but I dislike the way Kishi writes her, while Hinata is a meh to me. I did think her confession was a cool moment but before and after that... Meh.

The only Naruto female I sort of like is Ino, for her war arc development, and I kind of like arrogant, bossy characters. Though I don't hate anyone.

I do not like Sakura's personality nor hate it, therefore i do not care about her.
I like Hinata's personality as a character.

Although did injustice to both characters, they could be two of the best characters in this series if kishi had actually focused on their character for a while, show us their believes, social struggles and their views about the world and such.

I used to like both. Then the Hinata fanbase ruined Hinata for me. I still like her fanart if thats worth anything.

Noone can be in the fanbase and like both Sakura and Hinata equally, there will always be bias towards one especially how they are put up against each other everytime one does something. As is the case for several other fanbases of particular characters (naruto and sasuke). The only people who can like 2 clashing characters equally are those who are 'meh' about them.

In part 1:
- Felt 'ok' about Sakura.
- Liked Hinata.

In part 2:
- Started to really enjoy and like Sakura.
- Started to don't care or even feel annoyed by Hinata's (barely existent) presence.

Basically i never disliked either, but my view on both changed as the manga went on.
Why do people dislike one for another? Maybe because they're easy targets who don't influence the story as directly as they should.

Tbh i don't like either. They both have heavily used female stereotypical characters as tsundere and shy girl. Nothing much appealing or outstanding.

Pairings? People do not hate Sasuke for "getting in the way of NaruSaku" etc.
Power? They were never rivals and are not power oriented to begin with.
Better heroine competition? Then why Sakura is not getting compared to a more influencial/stronger/developed etc. female like Konan or Tsunade?

I have few answers to these questions but i want to hear yours too. Do tell.

I do like both, although, there are times where I question their decisions and actions (thanks Kishi-sensei :c)

Usually one would dislike one another for the fact that one, like you said, is shy, quiet and just like every other shy anime girl as well as the tsundere type... again like most female anime characters... so there isn't much originality in either department.

For pairings personally, NaruSaku and KibaHina... Kiba has similar personality traits like Naruto and obviously has a bit more care towards Hinata since the beginning (since Naruto is completely oblivious). Although with NaruSaku there is the debate either or don't deserve one another but personally, I really think they do. Through all of the good times and bad, through their own strengths and weaknesses they have accepted one another fully as a respectable human being. They're friends till the end but isn't that how you start a healthy, developed relationship? They seem to portray the qualities.

For power levels, I say kudos to them, they have achieved their power levels through hard work and determination. Even if they are still "fodder" types.. still they have learned their skills from mentors (even if Sakura is a 2.0 Tsunade) xD.

Screw the heroine competition, honestly, Sakura IS and ALWAYS will be the heroine.. even if she isn't as useful as she needs to be; she was created for that part and that's just something we all have to accept, it's Kishi-sensei's character choices. Hinata is a side heroine like character I suppose but she won't be a main, she has her shining moments but that's all there is to it.

The story is in Japan not America or western Europe,Japanese culture is not Western on Women view and roles in society. Be thank full it's not from Iran or Saudi Arabia the Women would be at home covered up from Head to toe. We would never know of any of the Women sines Tsunade,Kushina,Sakura and Hinata would all be covered up and home alone and unknown. It may take Japanese Society another 10 to 20 to be were the West is on Women.The same for South Korea and who knows China sines first Communism must fall their before their Women demand equal treatment from the Men. And Forget Moslem Countries that follow Extreme views on Women it may take them a thousand year look Nigeria the 300 Women captured by the extremes their. Not Everywhere are Women Safe yet in 2014.
