Sakura and Itachi share so many similarities, but Sakura just seems to be completely better than him in every way.

She's a better Uchiha-She didn't kill the entire clan,yet.
She's closer to Sasuke- While neither of them kissed Sasuke Sakura was the only one to receive a forehead tap.
She's Smarter - This was confirmed back in part 1, Sakura's intelligence is unmatched.
Better at Genjutsu - Confirmed in the manga, Sakura was said to be a Genjutsu type, Itachi was not, this means her Genjutsu is better.
Inner Sakura is an upgraded of Tsukiyomi, it's always activated and can even replenish her chakra like a Biju. Mangafact.
Chakra Enhanced Stregnth > Amaterasu

Kishi has been hinting at this since part 1.

This is why Sasuke ended up with Sakura, she's a better version of Itachi.
