Now I see the problem with the list.
Naruto is 17 th most hated and 14 th most loved
Yagami is also on the hate as well as the love list
Similar for many other characters

So their methodology is to group like or hated on a simple basis of like and dislike

The problem with this method is that popular mangas have large fan bases. Also the fan bases tend to be polarized. So a character can be both most loved and hated at the same time. Now that is stupid. If a equal amount of love and hate is given to the character, he/she must be neutral and not figure on any of the lists.
To make the list normal , they should give weight (-1) to dislike, (+1) to like. Then they should divide the score obtained by number of people who voted to normalise. The picture thus obtained would be a much better picture. Of course, a minimum threshold of voters would have to be there.

Sakura would still be the most hated as she is not on the loved list. So prediction for her #1 is correct.
