Narutobase has recently exploded with a series of threads about Sakura.Most of these pertain to one subject and has persisted for quite some time now. "Is Sakura Useless ?"Many have given their opinion through (albeit very poor convoluted reasons) Which do nothing but show how litt.e they know about her or her creation.A good majority of people have confused weak with useless.There is a discernible difference between the two.
Sakura has an excellent control over her chakra, and as such she has an innate ability to use techniques to their maximum efficiency without wasting any chakra.Due to her excellent chakra control, Sakura has been noted to have a natural aptitude for genjutsu, though so far she has only been seen dispelling illusions rather than use them.She has also followed in her masters foot steps and has become a very skilled medical nin.Even Tsunade who has been credited with creating the official system of the medical ninja and the most talented medical nin of the world has praised her skills.She also has shown extensive knowledge of poisons having been taught by her senior pupil Shizune.She also has an extensive knowledge of herbal medicines, surpassing even the knowledge of Chiyo as well as other chemicals such as powerful sleeping gases taught to her by Tsunade.She has also required through traning to utilize her chakra to enchance her strength making her quite deadly in close range combat.
Overall Sakura has good chakra control,The ability to heal certain wounds and has good physical stregnth making her a fine shinobi.She wont make the top 10 anytime soon but she is by no means a weak shinobi.However when the term useless is thrown in to the mix i would have to agree but not for the reasons you might think,
My problem with her is the birth of her coneption and the practicality of when she is useful.Kishi moto has made it very clear he does not understand woman and had admit that Sakura is not as interesting nor as fleshed out character wise as hinata.And hinata herself is not fleshed out she is a supporting character who spends most of her screen time twiddling her thumbs behind a tree or kiba lol
Example A is how she was originally appeared to be intended to be a genjustu user.This was later changed to have her become an appretince of tsunade.
The time between this shift Sakura had not shown any particular talent in any varying skills whatsoever not even any leaning towards genjustu other then the few times it was mentioned in passing by kakashi while training.This is very shobby work considering she is a main character by the end of part 1 others on her team have already grown tremendously and have learned there signature justu.
Example B Her character has become a tsunade clone in training and yet unlike her fellow teammates who learned ninjusutu and other skills from their respective sanin they have taken the skills and have refined them or have taken the basis of it and put there own unnique spin on it.Has sakura taken anything tsunade has taught her and take it a step further ? Or better yet has she shown anyone a justu she came up with herself ? Kishi goes on to note in the manga peopel see Sakura as a younger version of Tsunade.But in once instance where she replicates a technique taught to her by tsunade they go out of there way to explain that it wasnt even as powerful as tsunades version.That being her enchanced stregnth - However, while Sakura's strength derives from this technique, Tsunade has been noted to possess incredible raw strength much greater than this ability, which is enhanced even further to monstrous levels when using it.-If she is indeed a younger version of tsunade then it is a watered down version.This is only funnier because part 1 she manages to get out of inos shadow but only manages to plop herself in tsudandes.Never being able to sustain any orginality.
No she doesn't even have the boobs -.-
But she is young give her time you say >>Sakura was not know for her strength the reason she hits hard part 2 is due to enchancing her stregnth where its noted that tsudandes strength is natually supperior and goes on to be even stronger when she applies the same tactic.In this regard sakura will never surpass her in raw strenth.
Now as for medical skills tsunade has learned the apex of medical skills.The fourth clause (第四項, Daiyonkō): lets her ignore the fist three rules she established for medic nin with techniques such as the Strength of a Hundred Technique and Creation Rebirth.Sakura will never learn these justu if tsunade dies and even then i do not see her learning these justu anytime soon.When and if she does it would still be the mold of tsunade.Nothing in her future indicates she will be nothing more then a rehash of a former character.If you had to descibe team 7 with a few words the only thing i could say about her is."Medic" But it doesnt end there with her bland character trait and hammydown skills.
Her contributon to the story adds up to 0.Nothing about the central plot/sub plot would change in the slightest if she just vanished from the manga.Actually nothign whatsoever would be changed if you leave the manga how it is but just remove her from the pages.I asked people if someone can bring up anything that proves she was vital or intergral to the storyline and all anyone can say is that she pucnhed a zetsu and helped avoid a salughter of shinobi during the night.Which is good but if your a main character in a story that has spawned over 600 chapters and you only have one shining moment by that time then there is a problem.
In conclusion sakura is not weak however she is easily replaced and henceforth usless most notably for the lack of boob :O
