Naruto obviously could very well be in on the cover-up. This doesn't explain Shizune andSakura's incredibly weird behavior.p

Btw I think Kishi is trolling the whole SasuKarin thing, but SOMETHING is definitely strange here.

Kishi confirmed this a long back when the design for Sarada was out.

I am only going to say this once because in all honesty, it's the only way I see it as of now.

Here is what I have to say on the matter on who Sarada's real mother is and why I express my disbelief as a result.

First off, if Sakura is Sarada's real mother, then why is it that there are no records of her birth in Konoha?

Second, why would Sasuke simply abandon his daughter while she was still a baby and not come back. Let's say he was too busy and always on missions shall we? As far as we know, he never even bothered to write letters to his daughter let alone his wife, Sakura for the past how many years?

Third, how come Naruto told Sarada about her traits, yet conveniently left out some important stuff Sarada is curious of that doesn't take two eyes to notice so to speak?

The fact that Naruto was being his Part I self, he might still later on give us all of the details that we are hoping for or maybe Sasuke will.

Either way, this whole chapter just created a massive plothole and questions about Sarada's origins still unanswered and to be fairly honest, Karin most likely has the biggest connections to along with Sasuke and is most likely to be Sarada's mother as a result.

At least that is what would make the most sense at this point since everything Kishi has built up so far when it comes to Sarada and Sakura does not quite add up.

Maybe like people are saying, Naruto was trying to comfort Sarada to which anyone can see why. Hopefully Sasuke, the deadbeat father will debunk everything for good either in the next chapter or the one after that.

Kwes of ST3: When I read the first chapter of NG, I figured Sakura was the true mother but I think Sarada is still related to Karin. So one reoccuring pattern in the Naruto series has been people taking on traits of others because of absorbing chakra/cells/etc. The battle between Sasuke and Bee had Sasuke pretty much near death and who was able to bring him back? Karin & Jugo. It's possible that Jugo's transplant and taking in Karin's life force left some of their dna in him (sort of in the same way Ichigo was part hollow because of what happened to his mom). Sakura can still be Sarada's mom. Maybe some of Karin's dna and traits were passed on to Sarada and maybe in time we'll see some of Jugo's as well.
Lol I thought about that too, just didn't include Jugo, and as more of a joke

Then at the final chapter of gaiden, there's a small talk between whoever except Sarada that actually Karin is the mother. Then you'll read the text "continue to the Bolt Movie"

My guess for no birth records are that Konoha doesn't want another scenario of someone finding out there's another Uchiha, thus looking the steal the Sharingan (Although they could have named her Haruno). Sasuke's absence will obviously be explained in the following chapters. He probably does send letters to Sakura for all we know. Maybe he doesn't know he has a daughter. We'll find out next week and we can see who's right. This Karin nonsense has to stop with you people.
