There is actual proof that Sakura can air punch when she's an Adult/Young Adult. As we know The Last and Boruto are canon and seeing how many people are creating statements with the anime and not using manga feats (because The Last doesn't have a manga adaptation duh)
As you can clearly see the impacts of her punches are creating air pressure. Even if you're able to stop the gif you can see even before she attacks air effects gather on her hsnd meaning that it's not only an effect to show the puppets getting destroyed.
Before you say that this is just the way the studio did it randomly,they had make sakura fighting with puppets before,and there were no air pressure
Even in the boruto movie it was the same. She clearly didn't touch the debris and can see the shock wave after. Now you can say it's an animation error but think about it,this movie had the best animation in naruto pretty much why would they make a mistake here?Or they wanted to show us that she can air punch?
Even in the manga,it looked the same but manga is more subjective and we are not sure for everything so I'm not saying this is true 100% or anything
Even in the anime in these latest Konoha Hiden episodes she was seen doing it when she was cooking and they were REALLY wanting to make us notice it because they were showing it on different angles and stuff
So if you're asking where I'm going with this, Basically Sakura doesn't need to make contact with you to actual inflict damage (even tho she didn't use this on Shin) and that's something that even Tsunade wasn't shown capable of doing. It's similar how Gai fights. Her taijutsu is not that bad actually.
