before you all give your fast opinion on sao go and read the light novel you only watch the anime which end in the volume 4 but the light novel continue to volume 13 and asuna will have major character development in volume 7 which sakura didnt have but i hope sakura will get her character development soon i know because i read the manga and one more thing those who only watch the anime of SAO doesnt have right to judge the whole series because there are alot of part of the first season and the second season that the animator decided to skip and i admit that the second half of the anime series was not good but the third part gun gale online is better than the second season and final dont say the series is bad just because one part of it is bad when obito become the juubi jun that part was bad for me but did i say that series is bad and there are alot of things that were bad part that happen in naruto but do i say naruto is a bad series no i still love naruto series and every thing has a positive and a negative there is nothing called perfection and we shouldnt compare character or series because each series has their own different story and character and their own meaning and message in naruto:to never give up to understand and respect each other fighting isnt everything in the world in sao: how to survive in new environment that you cant live normally if you trap in place where you cant escape and depend on others and always smile wherever you are dont lose hope also do the right thing even in a situation where your live on line

I know nothing of the light novel because I can't get to it. But either way lengthened or not it still wouldnt make up the fact that the characters are sh*t still.

Sakura is Tsunade 2.0 which is really bland and stale. Asuna is much more of an original character than Sakura.

Sakura's character development is utter disappointment.

And I heavily disagree with you there. Having read the light novels, I can already say that Asuna is infinitely better then Sakura in every way. Even if you count the anime, Asuna gets all of 25 episodes and shows more personality and development then Sakura has in 300.

And I'm pretty sure this counts as character bashing. You're comparing two characters from completely different universes just to make one look worse in comparison.
