Sakura and Tenten should have switched teams

Sakura is a taijutsu fighter and would have benefited from Gai's training. She could have even learned how to open the first or second gate, maybe. Point is, her speed would increase, her attack pattern wouldn't be so linear and predictable, and she'd be an all around better fighter.

Team Kakashi would also benefit from a long range weapons expert. Naruto and Sasuke primarily utilized taijutsu in part 1 aside from Katon and clone barrages. A little depth to the team would have been good and given them a more spread offense. Take Team 7 vs Zabuza and Haku. Instead of simply standing in front of Tazuna, Tenten could have been hurling kunai, explosive tags, what have you, and aided Naruto and Sasuke from the outside while staying at her post. It's a win-win.

Team 7 doesn't need a healer because Naruto's chakra cloak and healing factor takes care of that, while he and Sasuke also have incredible defenses in Susano'o and Bijuu Avatar. Team Gai, however, needs a medic to help recover from gate usage mid battle. A mutual beneficiary trade.

The same could be said for why Ten-Ten is on Team Gai.


They are all CQB fighters except for her. Her overwhelming fire power mixed with Neji's Jyuken and notably Kaiten can also serve as defensive barriers for Gai and Lee to recover. Provided the two use the Gates in turn while the other is protected.... it works basically just as well. Not to mention the use of things like say soldier pills.

You can mix and match the K11 in a variant of ways to make extremely efficient teams.

Team Kurenai is all tracker ninja. Some groups are just more specialized. Ino-Shika-Cho is made for stopping enemy advancement and traps. Team Gai would be Team Taijutsu and frontlines style while Team Kakashi would be more of a sweeping strike platoon, used to smash resistance and drive down enemy numbers quickly.

10-10 is the only thing that balances team Gai out.. otherwise they are pretty much easy to pick off..

This is what I was thinking. They fill enough roles where they can smash and keep going. There are many a battles that have been hard for them with this config but, over all it still works, its versatile enough to switch modes and yet dependable and secure in their main roles in the team.

I'm assuming you are referring to the Team 7 part? If so yea, i mean hell they can be assassination type ninja also.. they have a poison expert amongst them, someone who made sasori's complicated poison look like child's play.

I can say you got good points there. I thought that this is another Sakura bashing thread LOL. Lol

But I believe she would still be a bit underdeveloped like Sakura by Kishi.

So then, people would bash Ten Ten as fodder, irrelevant, whatever, just like Sakura right now.
