Kakashi in the Boruto series is retired like Tsunade is,Ex Hokage's retire they don't go back to being joining. Can't have ex hokage's dying on you in battles.

The old generation back in Shippuden had way more screen time than most of the K11 so why does everyone assume that the old K11 is irrelevant, let alone Kakashi and Sakura?
