Sakumo had respect of the Sanin according to page 17 of chapter 240 or where ever that the whole Sanin thing was said. By feats the Sanin win, edo tensei, sage mode, regeneration, Susano breaking strength, medical ninjutsu, Summons. By hype I say the Sanin win this but with difficulty, since he was respected. And that may refer to power.
