Ink ninjutsu is the ability of it's user to use chakra-infused ink to draw characters or beasts which can come to life in a full form. It allows the user to use his mental power to visualize things and draw them an bring them to life. Other tools like kunais and shirukens can be drawn and used for attack. Harmless tools too like umbrellas,balls etc can be drawn.

Chakra
Chakra is a form of energy that is derived from the combination of the Physical and Spiriturial energies of a being. The Physical energy allows for the control of a being's movement and other physical abilities. The Spiritual energy involves the awareness of the Soul and the control mind. The combinations of these energies is Chakra.

Ninjutsu
Ninjutsu, is the
ability to, through the use of
chakra, accomplish tasks that
would be otherwise impossible to
do. Ninjutsu are done by molding
the chakra and using it to produce the desired effect/
technique. This is done by two
basic principles: Shape
Manipulation and Nature
Transformation. These
correspond to the two broad areas that one needs to change
in the chakra to produce a jutsu.
Shape manipulation pertains to
the ability to give your chakra a
desired form while Nature

The Chōjū-jinbutsu-giga or Super Beast Imitating Drawing is a special ninjutsu which allows Sai to draw creatures at a faster speed level than normal. As soon as he stops drawing and removes his brush from the scroll, his drawing comes to life and grows to a normal or even bigger size. This ninjutsu makes it possible for Sai to carry out secret undercover missions. From his drawings, Sai can create Lions, Birds, Fishes, Snakes etc that he uses to attack an opponent.

Okay so I'd like you to know that sai's ink ninjutsu is merely regular ninjutsu (raw chakra) which is in a way, coated/made by drawing ink. That being said, sai's ink ninjutsu really doesn't have any strengths and its weakness would be fire as it would burn the ink faster and large quantities of water as it would splatter the ink. Yeah we've seen ink fishes but it depends on the drawing that you use. For example when sai created birds in the manga, he clearly stated that he could send them too far because of the rain so we can conclude that his ink still has some weakness towards water. Sai's ink would be netrual to regular ninjutsu attacks. In other words, B rank ink vs B rank raw chakra technique would cancel each other out.

I want you to open a giant scroll and start drawing all kinds of creatures and make copies of them until you become fluid and can draw them with ease. (Either find more picture of sai's techniques or look through google for art work drawn of creatures like tigers etc etc.)

creatures. Big cats, Birds, Reptiles, Insects, Worms, Flowers, etc. I now repeat the same drawings for over 7 times, perfecting my skill and usage of my pencil, then brush. This process takes a couple of long hours. Whenever I get tired or bored, I take a drink and begin to observe more animals and add them to my collection and begin to perfect them. I now become very swift with these drawings, making drawings which should take a couple of minutes in a few seconds.

I open another giant scroll and start drawing different landscapes. From sunny horizons to cloudy and ice landscapes. Skillfully using my brush to portray my thoughts in a pleasant manner. I use my mind's eye to create various detailed and lively landscapes and repeat them so much so that I am versatile with them, and they become less difficult to draw.
