I figured he'd kill Sai first, but nope, he swatted him and Naruto aside like worthless flies for Hashirama's Sage Mode.
So, Sai probably will survive after all.

I think that hes just trying to show that Sai is also a part of team 7. It only seems right...but still, death is always a likelihood.

Maybe, Sai did tell Sakura that since he doesn't know Sasuke well that he can look at him objectively and doesn't trust him, then Sakura said she did and Sai said he knows her words are sincere but she's lying. This was when Sasuke first came to the battle. I think if Sai was fatally injured then he'll tell Naruto not to trust Sasuke which would just fan more fire to the Naruto vs Sasuke fight that should happen at some point. Or he lives and when Naruto becomes Hokage Sai will take up Danzo's place at Anbu root but instead will be working with the Hokage instead of against. Either 2 possibilities.

I never found Sai all that interesting. He played his role in early part 1 but beyond that I don't really care for him all that much.

Maybe if he used an interesting jutsu for once I'd like him more. It's always the same with him. Tigers and birds. *yawn*

i hope he doesnt, honestly...if Sasuke does somehow live (which i doubt) then he would have a place with team guy since Neji is no longer around. Sakura and Hinata wont die..get over yourselves people! and neither will Shikamaru. Kishi had his moment to do that and he didnt. The only ones I would be worried about is honestly Kakashi, Tsunade, Oonoki, or someone like that dying right now...oh and of course Obito is gonna die sometime soon
