Sai was a bad-ass

in the chikara arc, Sai was like overpowered as hell.

he fought Deidara and Kabuto and matched them evenly, keeping both of them under control.

i mean freaking kabuto who was praised for being on Kakashi's level, and deidara, the guy who should've killed Sasuke if not for plot no jutsu.

man Sai was incredible, i wish we could've seen him kicking that much butt more often. lol

Kishi is using Sai as being "Dummy"; or Joker card; or can be in any team.
Team 7 had finally regroup. (Sai became fodder).
Kishi is taking Sai to Guy's team. (Neji out).
Notice during the war, Sai joined Rock Lee team.

Well, even if I don't really mind fillers they tend to do stuff that contradicts the manga..

For example, in a filler, Torune had:

- a tanto with a sharp tip. Root members use tip-less tanto.

- a long-ranged jutsu using nanobugs (I mean the poison cloud one, not the jar of poison). If he had it, he wouldn't have needed to try to touch Tobi.

Also, his nanobugs make the victim's skin, er, bubbly. But it's never so in the filler. So there you go, they did whatever they want with Torune's abilities. Sai could have gotten the same treatment easily.
