From latest chapters seems like they just kicks Sai out of team 7 and he doesn't seem to be happy about it, so he tries to grab attention so desperately, but failed miserably.
So maybe after some years there will be another masked man
So if Kishi ever runs out of many BAMM just gave him idea for next arc XD

I could see that happening, at the end of this war everyone will believe that he's dead but after many years he will come back to take revenge on the new sannins. Naruto, sasuke and sakura. He will start by trying to kill naruto's baby and wife (hinata) and then history will repeat itself, blah blah blah, naruto's baby grows up and kicks sai's ass.
