They are not necessary, but I apologize for not knowing how to show images properly.
This past chapter has risen up a few thoughts about the Sage of Six Paths and bijuu. From this most recent chapter we learned that the Sage had a brother. We also know that during their fight they seal the juubi’s chakra within the two of them.
My theory is this; that the Sage took the yin and his brother took the yang. There is tons of symbolism of yin all over the sage, from the symbols on his clothes to the black chakra (Maybe his brother has mastered some sort of white chakra). That said, how is it possible that Kurama was split into yin and yang if the Sage took the yin.
Basic Yin and Yang theory states that there are four stages of Ying and Yang (Utmost Yin, Yang within yin, Utmost Yang, and Yin within Yang). It is also believed that one can change into the other. This means that despite the Sage taking the Utmost Yin and yang within yin, they will eventually balance themselves to equilibrium.
So what has become of this mysterious brother? Surely all that chakra has to be somewhere or within something, but what? It is possible that he later on gave the chakra to his brother, sage… I doubt this. Maybe the brother’s chakra has been spread out among years of ancestry down the family tree… I kinda doubt this too. I think the brother has created a bijuu of his own. One very large beast. But who could it be that no one in the shinobi world would have noticed. This isn't pokemon, where suddenly 150 new pokemon spawn out of a bush and everyone randomly agreed that they knew about it the whole time. So what could it be? What creature do we know exists, is as old as the sage times and do we know very little about?
As I began to look up Japanese mythology, I stumbled onto the legend of Urashima Taro, a fisherman who saves a turtle and is rewarded with a visit to Ryugu-jo, the palace of Ryujin, the Dragon God under the sea. Taro spends three days at the palace and upon return finds himself 300 years in the future. I can’t say for sure this story would come into the Narutoverse, but I think Taro is the brother of the sage and is waiting somewhere within the temple of turtle island. This would make sense as to why the brother pretty much dropped off the face of the planet (In some secret room, where to him little time has passed).
I don’t necessarily believe these things are to happen whole-heartedly, but I certainly think it would be cool. This is my first post and it is 4am for me so be gentle. I may expand on this when I have more energy because I think there is a lot more hidden proof to some of this.
