Despite what others may say or think The Last is canon (stated by Kishimoto himself). It is ploty and full of gaps that don't make sense. Still it's canon so deal with it.... With that said, the major argument I keep having with my friend is on two parts of the movie that is still in the air to me and her.

-How does Toneri live in the moon by himself for decades?

-Does Hinata have sage chakra from Hamura or was it just Hamura giving her the job to destroy the Tenseigan weapon?

1. The moon is filled with Oxygen in the movie and in NV. This would easily take care of Toneri's needs to live in the moon for decades.

2. Hinata got her own version of Sage Mode from Hamura to destroy the Tenseigan. She basically got that powerup to accomplish a goal and it is unknown whether she has the powerup as of the Boruto Movie lmao.

Still if it is true wouldn't have she have the Tenseigan by now or even developed something more powerful than just Taijutsu and Sight?

She still has Hamura's chakra, it's permanent like Hagoromo's. And chakra allows shinobi to breathe in space because chakra.

Hinata has Hamura’s chakra because She is a direct descendant of Hamura the same way Naruto has Hagoromo/Ashura chakra because He is a directed descendant of Hagoromo/Ashura. Sasuke has Indra, Naruto has Ashura and Hinata has Hamura its canon.

I'd say Hinata has the potential to awaken it but it's like Madara's case where it just slowly develops. So like she'll have it but it'll be a long while before it happens. The fight in Boruto the Movie would've been different if Hinata came in with Tenseigan and the chakra mode. Still it's like I said, Hinata prolly will be in her elder years when she awakens it.

What's hard to believe about Toneri living on the moon? He has puppet servants and his clans sacrifice.
