So I catching on the latest episode of the anime, and the Ashura Vs indra fight happened. now my biggest problem with this is how come Hagoromo didn't just stop the fight, he is the Sage of six paths, the most powerful person ever. Why is he just standing there like he couldn't just stop this fight in a second

He literally transferred most of his power to Ashura. The anime chose to have Hagoromo explicitly grant power to Ashura.

well in the manga the fight happened after he had died.

the only reason why he wouldnt fight is because he is enforcing his will on others and using his powers to do it at that.

he is basically kaguya and indra at that point.

Hagoromo after fighting kaguya, promised himself that he wouldnt use the power of ninshu again.
He also didnt interfere because he wanted to see how strong ashura, successor of ninshu is.
He also wanted to see how ashura would protect ninshu in his absence.
