madara can copy it his body is the sage body but just with a face in his chest.
elderson and younger power= spiritual and body=hashirama and madara=edo madara

But he would have to train himself to the sages level which Madara is not. I think Madara is a totall badass, but he's not as strong as the sage. Until Madara creates something out of nothing, this will be my opinion. I guarantee that the sage could seal Madara with mid-high difficulty. And it might not even be that hard

we would need to see more of the sage's power because i think he had some type of limit but yea the sage could seal madara but we don't know what seal techs he even had we only know some of his abilities.

also we might actually see the sages power since it looks like everyone is gaining immense strength in this period like naruto with his bijuu mode getting even more powerful so we may actually see what the sages power is in the next few chapters.
