I have a fairly simply prediction I would like to make. Its rather simple I want to say that no the sage is NOT THE BAD GUY. Why do you ask? Just a few simple reasons I have shoot em down pls I wanna hear the real counter reasons to these reasons of mine.
1. He just gave all his chalkra to sasuke and naruto. Okay some might say sure he gave it equally to them both because he knows naruto is going to be killed by the bad sasuke okay maybe?...... doesn't sound right to me though.
Okay on to my real reason, its rather simple. Kurama and the other tailed beasts. Wouldn't they say something? I mean comon even the ones that don't like kurama and after this chapter it could be said that the 9 tails really has something special to do with the sage, and the other tailed beasts didn't like him so they would have sang like a canary. Okay this is my true and real reason. I don't see him being a bad guy after the way kurama has spoken of him looked up to him and all the other tailed beasts cared about him. The sage isn't a bad guy hes god. He wants humans to make the right choices themselves without super influence. An example could be like in the movies god never intervenes unless it has something to do with the devil making his true move and getting into the real world. Same thing here. The sage is god the good kaguya and the 10 tails is the devil the bad. Now that the bad really broke up outa hell and is running loose hes here to help even more.....
