SM naruto didn't win against pain either.

But any way, Naruto, his frog fighting technique should be enough to full gaaras sand. And since there not fighting in an area with a good source of sand for gaara to use, he is at a pretty big disadvantage.

His only chance is to fly and bombard Naruto.

Naruto has 3 summons that could all spit oil and make Gaara's sand completely useless. Naruto takes this with low-mid difficulty.

Gaara, just barely though. Yes he starts off pretty close range, but he'll fly when he gets the chance. I'm sure he'll be able to last long enough to get into the air. At that point it's gonna be pretty hard for Sage Naruto to hit him, for people saying he beat Pain he had to use six tails, and Hinata. I think Gaara can just hold off enough for Sage to wear off. And well...then it's just regular Naruto. Really there's no way to completely tell, but I'd say Gaara just a little bit.
