Sage mode question.

After reading todays chapter something poped in my head if sage mode is the only way to fight obito in his current state as shown by naruto, why didn't hashirama's Sage art:Gate of the Great God Technique. When hashirama was in sage mode? As shown here

Is naruto's sage mode the only sage mode that can harm obito? or is it just a plot-hole?

Thoughts?

I think it's due to him being the only one with Sage abilities in the war..but if another had the Sage mode it would be double the effect on Obito

No, I do not think Obito can cancel only ninjutsu

Well, that technique wasn't a Senjutsu but Ninjutsu and/or Fuuinjutsu.. Just because someone is in Sage Mode doesn't mean all there attacks become Senjutsu.

I think naruto's attack worked because the jutsu was chakra itself(senjutsu chakra rasengan) unlike hashirama's own jutsu where he used chakra to perform the jutsu but his chakra was not in direct contact like naruto's rasengan,instead it was a jutsu executed with chakra just like the kyuchiose(summoning jutsu)why naruto's own was just chakra in the form of a jutsu(rasengan)senjutsu chakra.

So an attack like 1000 armed buddha will could kill obito if hashirama uses it?

no I don't think so obito will just protect himself with that black thingy...except hashi has a jutsu that is based on chakra it self like the rasengan that uses senjutsu chakra,then if he makes full contact with obito this time it would work like naruto's attack did..

Oh now I understand what you mean. If hashirama has a technique that uses just chakra with no base element like a rasengan. right?

yes that is what I mean, the senjutsu chakra is the main trumpcard to defeat obito since the juubi is made up of senjutsu chakra too they can connect well.sage mode--juubi planet like senjutsu chakra.

1) It was juubito, not obito, so it wasn't using inyouton yet - sorry.

2) The gates were smashed through, not erased. Therefore, they did their job of sage restraint, but jubito forced himself through them.
