Only because that allowed him to take advantage of the 3rd Raikage's weakness, his own attack.

A doesn't have that same problem, and he's stronger than his dad..so A can solo SM Naruto with mid diff.

Plus Naruto fought the 9 tails in sage Mode. I know that Sage Mode isn't all powerful but I think you are seriously underating Sage Mode.
