so you cant do anything in sage mode unless you are completely still? which is impossible in battle...seems a tad strange to me....
sage mode is pointless then?

I'm pretty sure you have to be completely still and then once you are in sage mode, you can really fight. Naruto should just stay in sage mode 24/7.
Well when Jiraiya went to Hermit Mode against Pein they never showed him sitting still. I cant remember how the fight first starts but I know he brings in Pa and Ma toad to help. I remember Pa Toad telling Jman that he needs to learn how to do it on his own instead of calling on them all the time. If someone can post that manga chapter it would help

I don't see jiraiya standing still, infact.. u can see him hiding from pein >> he has to run away for a bit to do hide so no time to sit still and balance the chakra.
Yea they show Hermit mode at the end of 374 and begining of 375. He tells his summoned toad to buy him time while he summons Pa and Ma toad I think. Then when those giant dogs attack him he kills one of them and hides in this whole, then all of a sudden u see him in hermit mode, a lil after that Pa Toad tells Jman that he needs to learn how to do it himself. My guess is that he summoned Pa and Ma toad to help him transform to Hermit mode quick. Thats why according to the new spoilers Pa toad tells Naruto that he will be riding on his shoulders when he uses it. So thats my guess, that Jman summoned Pa and Ma toad to help him transform and to use their power as well to try to defeat pain.
I think you're right.. coz after naruto turned on the sage mode he fell through the air and presumably he would have een waving his arms around.. plus he was doing training in sage mode. Also since naruto is better at it than Jiraiya, he might be able to switch in on and off like sasuke can his sharingan.

Yes, once you activate it, it's on until you turn it off, but in order to activate it you need to be still.
UNLESS, you have another nature using partner A.K.A Pa Toad.

Even if he can turn it on or off at will....Sage mode is almost exactly like the demon fox cloak......He gets super strong, has more chakra, doesnt get hurt easily, eyes change, etc.
The only way it would be useful is if he uses sage mode and fox chara at the same time.

no hes not stronger than jiraiya, hes better at sage mode thats all, jiraiya still has the experience and knowledge and smartness.
Shinobi strength isnt all about the techniques they have, naruto has the rasenshuriken, big deal, kakuzu proved that technique does FA if it doesnt land, and on an enemy like pein, kage bushin SHOULDNT WORK.
If kishi does another kage bushin rasenshuriken trick on pein...sorry, im not impressed with the story then, pein is supposed to see very fast movements and have enough bodies to dodge anything, i wanna see naruto using his intelligence for once against pein

Pa Toad kinda mentions that though. The fox chakra combined with using "natural energy" cause him to recover faster so Naruto's endurance is through the roof. I think the demon fox could eventually replace the use of Pa Toad. If the fox willingly decides to help Naruto that is. Imagine the amount of chakra 9-Tails could draw in (it should know everything Naruto knows). A still fox on the inside could allow Naruto to move on the outside.

Hmm, possibly.
The main thing for the Kyuubi is staying alive and free.
If Akatsuki removes him from Naruto's body knows he knows it could mean death for him, or at least eternal capture and enslavement at the hands of Madara.
If by helping Naruto get better at Sage Mode means extending his stay inside Naruto, than so be it.

I dont want Naruto with Frog mergedWHAT!!!! Are u serious! Sage mode can only be kept for 5 minutes! WTF. WOW that is sad. I kinda dont want pa and ma frog on Naruto's shoulders. What happens when he goes fox? And what if pa and ma get killed in battle. It will just be Naruto fighting with 2 dead frogs hanging from his shoulders.
