Trying to stop somebody without killing intent doesnt mean you get fodderised or almost killed. Do you think in his attempts to stop naruto jiraiya jumped in front of him. It clearly shows jiraiya couldnt react to naruto. And there isnt anyproof he didnt use sagemode to try and subdue fodderuto equally there isnt any he did. Its safe to assume jiraiya tried his best to stop him and would have used sagemode since he eventually managed otheriwise there isnt anybody who could just put jiraiya in a near death situation wether there was killing intent or not on his behalf.

Yet same hashi gt stopped by a blind madara and turned into his concubine with rods which use will power alone. Yet manyfold amplified hashirama couldnt do a thing but watch like a hopless child.

Orochimaru said he would have died if the tbb hit him and right after he managed to survive it using his gates to take the blunt of the blow, he sent the 4 tails away then fell down. Orochimaru fled while Jiraiya stood his grounds. Jiraiya gave Kakashi a small seal that cancelled cloak mode, he could have used his clone to bye time as he made the seal and stop Naruto. Not saying Jiraiya>4 tails cause he's not but that doesn't mean he went SM when that takes him some time when he could easily use the seal on the toad's stomach to lock the seal and stop Naruto or make that small seal to do it. 4 tails fodderized Orochimaru as well so it doesn't matter, both Jiraiya and Orochimaru would die if they kept fighting.

But it does means you can be caught off guard if the person you're trying to stop just speed blitz in front of you and slash you. Jaraiya and Orochimaru both still got fodderized and both would have died if they kept fighting. Orochimaru even said if he was hit with a tbb then it means unavoidable death.

It wasnt sage mode it was arse pull no jutsu. Jyubi is an embodiment of natural energy compressed and sealed in a host wjich it should amplify many fold with bstural energy and a sage mode rasengan works. Its like rain hitting an ocean its so stupid.
