No, Sage Mode is not a borrowed power. Who is given the power? Are you telling me the plants or natural earth? Would you say any one can enter Sage Mode if it was true?

Yes, that of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki‎‎, her son Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki (Rikudō Sennin), his younger and older sons and their descendants. However, it can also mean chakra itself. It was refereed to as many name being the creator of worlds or something like that. I do not know. It does not matter.

Well the whole reason the Shinju became the Ten Tails was so it could take back its chakra, and the only reason it failed was because the Sage stopped it.

Once the Ten Tails became the Shinju it started taking its chakra back.

Edit: Really a better definition is that its a stolen power if you want to get specific.

Haha I agree. Also having an infinite source of chakra inside you that guides you and heals you is borrowed power as well. Basically makes you 2 people in 1 which is never fair for 1v1 fights U_U

Kakashi uses Obito's eye , Sasuke uses Itachi's eyes , Madara has Senju DNA , Nagato had Madara's eye . Naruto isn't the only who has borrowed powers .
