OT: he probably did create them from his jutsu as opposed to a wife giving birth.
OR he could have did what GOD did to MARY to create JESUS.
OR he also could have used the blood within himself & his DNA to create them with his jutsu..

people,he is saying the sage created his sons via the jutsu,"the creation of all things",equally dividing his two powers between them,who inturn are the predecessors of hyuga,uchiha,senju and uzumaki as stated in the manga.thus the theory of him being hyuga+uzumaki or uzumaki are proved wrong.
