Naruto doesn't need to combine with the frogs anymore, he perfected Sage mode in which Jiraiya couldn't. Jiraiya needed the frogs if I remember correctly.

but unlike jiraya he cannot maintain his sage mode for long. jiraya was able to spamm the shit out of sage mode 24/7 but not naruto
