"Two opposing forces" Madara sure is smart.

The two opposing forces were the ōtsutsuki brothers One good one evil, each with a common enemy, the Shinju/Juubi. I wouldn't call this an asspull because it was stated in the manga, the Hagoromo added validity to this by telling the history. It's just people didn't know who the two opposing forces were. This would also bring into play Ninshu and Ninjutsu.

The Manga isn't about Uchiha and Senju anymore, the Hyuga and Uzumaki will get expanded upon as well. There were in fact two Sages only one had a claim to fame while the other fell to the shadows, perhaps he made the Tablet, and purposefully left himself out of history to formulate his ultimate plan?
