Safety ofc, just take a look at Iraq, when choas rule the country, sht got serious, ied explosion everyday, people getting killed becuase of their beliefs.

So I would rather have the NSA spying on me, than haveing no safety.

Safety is important but I dont want my government to spy on my network traffic and come over to my door next day and arrest me for my googling. #NETRA
Look at the level of citzen spying in US

You, explain!
your opinion and something about the privacy shizz
Oh Sorry, I didn't go in detail.:(
Safety is more important because if you privacy is a luxury but safety is necessity.U_U
Privacy is of no use if you don't have safety, i.e. if someone is going to attack your nation and kill you, then you need to give more attention to security even it puts privacy of your people on stake.

A Mix of both.

I don't mind stupid crap like the NSA going through my emails and what not. It's the same crap that has always happened.
if it was such an issue I wouldn't use a free service hosted elsewhere.

NSA watching me through my webcam or my phone. Again I have nothing to hide, but unless they plan to pay my bills they need to back off that stuff.

Safety crosses the line when things become a hassle and people begin to waste my time. Want to check my bag at the airport? Cool. Don't charge me extra for it and make we wait 3 hours in line.

Honestly the stuff has been going on for a looong time. The Internet is changing the way the world works and guess what? the government needs to be able to keep up. If you think the government is "All knowing" and "In control" your a boob. The government is just as much unsure of wtf tomorrow is going to bring and with the instant access to data that allows theft, transferring and hacking they are going to be looking on how to set foot. Look at the Sopa bill, it failed. if the government was so hungry they would have approved it no matter how many angry nerds they pissed off.

And Honestly after the last spew with Mandela's Memorial ( celebration ) I am Ashamed to be in the same country as most of those people commenting on the event with NO clue what they are talking about. Those post on facebook and so on are public. Names, locations and everything. People are soo worried about Privacy and the NSA yet they spew hate speech online, everywhere ALL THE TIME. it really proves how ignorant, Racist and just uniformed Americans are. You can't represent your job with such nonsense. Why are Americans allowed to represent our country and advertise our stupid to the world?

free speech aside I believe those with an IQ below a certain number need to be censored period. Free speech is the right to say what you want. But it doesn't protect you from someone else using their free speech to call you an idiot, or simply punch you in the mouth. Cause and Effect. Freedom of Speech keeps the government from censoring the people and that can be helpful when it comes to some information. But belittling your nation and all your future generations to an ugly stereotype because you failed high school and were raised by racist inbreeds doesn't mean you know politics.

Safety.

I generally don't care about the NSA watching anything. It's not like they're interested in your personal life, at least not until you're under suspiscion.

... if you have nothing to hide, "privacy" isn't an issue here.

At the same time, safety also requires some degree of privacy. Kinda hard to not have a little of both.
