I hope this isn't a joke thread. Chibi genuinely had one of the saddest deaths, his death made me more sad than Itachi or Jiraiya's.

Naruto broke golden rule #1 of fiction. Never kill the dog. You just don't do it.

It's just a stupid dog, with no concept of morality and feelings, get over it.

I'm not joking myself. I have way more trouble when animals are killed than humans. I really hope Kishimoto doesn't pull a Hedwig (Harry Potter) and kill off Akamaru.

This is not an opinion or question thread, I'm letting you guys know which death was the most saddest, atrocious, unexpected, and by far the worst..

You can say that yea, Jiraya's death was sad, and unexpected, but not that atrocious, he asked for it..
Also Itachi's death was sad, but most of us were expecting his death since the part 1 series..
Minato and Kushina death's were sad, but we also knew that naruto did not had any parents, that they died in the kyuubi incident,

Nuh, Neji is almost as useless as tonton, and his death was just weird, and unexpected :s, but totally not sad

I mean, like, come on.. who cares about Neji anyway? lol

3rd Hokage. The song nearly brought me to tears.

One of the best and saddest things in part I and in the series altogether T_T

No. There's a reason why 'Never kill the dog' is a golden rule in Hollywood and storytelling in general. It's the idea of killing something so innocent that has no control or opinion on the situation, it's a metaphor and an icon of pure innocence, like shooting a baby- they don't have any concept of morality and are pretty stupid too- does that make it okay to kill children? Chibi's death was far sadder than Neji or Itachi or Jiraiya or almost literally anyone else. You kill the icon of true innocence then all hope is lost and there can't be any happy ending or morality to the characters or the situation.

You don't f*cking kill the dog. Ever.
