Sadder Song?

Title says it all.

The first song is the opening for Clannad: After Story. It's pretty heavy on its own, but following Episode 16, its effect is just a hundred times stronger.

The second is the ending for two episodes of Angel Beats! (#10 and #13). It works well both times, but it's definitely more effective during the final episode.

These are arguably the two most tearjerking anime out there, with these being their best songs in that regard. Your thoughts on which had the stronger effect (guess this is directed more towards fans of the shows)? It's the first for me - I just love Clannad.

Clannad After Story and Angel Beats are both must watches in my opinion.

@RoguePatriot - I would say yes, but that particular rendition was used at the very end of the series (after the happy ending), so it kinda takes away from it. lol And yes, I agree completely

Yep, some anime have some awesome soundtracks, i've come across some sadder song, but i don't like a good sob, so i can't remember them, Yes i've watched both Angel Beats and Clannad/Afterstory, so i know

Haven't seen Clannad. I saw Angel Beats!. Didn't care for it. AnoHana is a much better romance/drama/emotional show, and its ending always makes me tear up. :')

Well, neither do I, but I certainly appreciate those have that effect. It's the reason I love the two so much (that and they're both hilarious). lol

Haven't seen Clannad. I saw Angel Beats!. Didn't care for it. AnoHana is a much better romance/drama/emotional show, and its ending always makes me tear up. :')

I'd definitely check it out, then, man. Guarantee it'll give Anohana a run for its money

Clannad AS was were emotional and i absolutely love the opening song.
Angel Beat's ending doesn't need any words to describe how beautiful it is U_U
