you can lol, you just have to upload it first on another site.

You can upload images to your album section that's located on your profile. But for images to be uploaded in posts, it'll strain the servers and the site will move slowly.
You can simply upload your images to imgur(or a similar image uploading site) and copy the direct image URL and it'll do the same function as uploading a pic to the site.
