Stop the madness. Naruto did kill Kakuzu, Kakashi just showed mercy, and ended his life a bit faster.

After the mission, Tsunade said it was a shame, they didn't capture any alive (which was their goal). Then Kakashi said, they were too much of a risk to fight to capture, instead of fight to kill. Kakuzu was easy to bring to Konoha in the state he was in, but he was beyond saving by any medic, so he would die anyway, and no info would be obtainable.
